Eric Winquist, Founder and President

In March 2006, Eric founded Jama Software with the vision of providing customers a more collaborative way to develop new products and eliminate the common frustrations with traditional approaches to requirements management. Eric is an accomplished entrepreneur and project manager with over 14 years experience working with a wide range of enterprise organizations, teams and technologies. In 2001, Eric founded Redside Solutions, a software development consulting firm. As CEO, Eric grew Redside to a multi-million dollar business with 35 employees and 100% annual growth rates. At Redside, Eric saw first-hand the need companies had for collaborative requirements management which led to the creation of Jama Software and the development of Jama Contour.

Eric is a graduate of Oregon State University. He lives with his wife and two kids in Portland.

John Simpson, Director of Marketing

John has joined Jama Software to represent the voice of our customers and lead our marketing strategy, generating awareness and demand for our products. Prior to Jama, John was Director of Marketing at Omniture and brings 12 years of experience developing brands and managing interactive marketing programs for technology companies including Microsoft, WebTrends and ZAAZ. He has contributed to several books, whitepapers and presentations on web marketing and technology.

John is an Ambassador for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a delegate for the Lance Armstrong Foundation and an active fundraiser for cancer research within our local community. He is a graduate of Oregon State University and lives with his wife and three kids in Portland.

Derwyn Harris, Director of User Experience

Derwyn brings 10 years of software engineering and management experience to Jama with significant experience delivering enterprise-scale software applications. He is a frequent speaker on technology topics at conferences such as the Ajax Experience. Derwyn blends deep technical knowledge with strong customer service and support skills to ensure a successful user experience for our customers.

Derwyn is our resident sustainability guru, a competitive cyclist and holistic chef. He is a graduate of St. John's College and lives with his wife in Portland.

Kevin Thomson, Director of Sales

Kevin brings 12 years of sales and account management experience to Jama. Most recently, Kevin was responsible for managing the inside sales group at WebTrends responsible for $20 million in annual revenue. Prior to WebTrends, Kevin was a senior territory manager with Tut Systems.

Kevin is a graduate of Oregon State University. He lives with his wife and two sons in Tualatin.

Xiang (Sean) Tong, Senior Architect

Sean is the lead architect of Jama Contour and an experienced developer of sophisticated Web 2.0 technologies built on open standards. Sean brings over 10 years of software engineering experience, including prior start-up experience with Hubat, a search technology company.

Sean has a masters degree in computer science from Tsinghua University in Beijing, as well as a Masters of computational linguistics from Carnegie Mellon University. He lives with his wife and two kids in Portland.

Mike Alligood, Director of Business Development

Mike jas joined Jama to grow our Internal channel and technology integration partnerships. Mike was the co-founder of Redside Solutions and has 16 years of sales and business development experience in the software industry. Prior to Jama, Mike was responsible for the development of Centennial Software's global partner program establishing strategic partnerships with Oracle, SanDisk and others.

Mike is a graduate of Oregon State University. He's a competitive cyclist, and lives with his wife and two sons in West Linn.
